Audio & Video Connectors
We can supply an extensive range of audio and video connectors, from low cost mass production parts, to precision manufactured professional components by leading brands such as Neutrik, Lumberg, Switchcraft and Amphenol.
Phono / RCA
Commonly found on Hi-Fi and home video equipment the RCA (Radio Corporation of America) or Phono connector is designed for unbalanced analogue audio connections. They are most often seen in Red and White (stereo audio) and Yellow (composite video). Other uses include RGB (component video), S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) and surround sound signals.
DIN / Mini DIN
Originally designed for use as an electrical connector, DIN connectors have been adopted as equipment interconnects for a wide variety of signal applications. Available in both standard and mini sizes they can be supplied with a range of contact numbers and layouts.
Phone Connector / Audio Jack
Phone connectors come in three different sizes - 2.5mm, 3.5mm (1/8”) and 6.35mm (1/4”). 2.5mm and 3.5mm are popular amongst portable equipment, offering 2 contact (TS), 3 contact (TRS) and 4 contact (TRRS) versions with ‘T’ representing the tip, ‘R’ the ring(s) and ‘S’ the sleeve of the connector. 6.35mm jacks are more durable and allow for larger diameter cables to be used.
XLR connectors are deployed in many professional audio, video and stage lighting environments with the most common usage being as a balanced audio connection. The robust locking design provides a secure and reliable connection and XLR’s are available in cable and chassis mount styles with between 3 to 7 contacts giving them great versatility.
Manufactured by Neutrik and extensively found across the professional audio industry, speakON cable connectors are commonly used for amplifier and loudspeaker connections. Available in 2, 4 and 8 pole versions they have been designed to operate with high current, inductive loads, offering an easy to assemble, lockable and contact ‘touch-proof’ solution.
